Etsy empty!

If you have noticed that my etsy shop has emptied overnight it is because Holly Berry House called yesterday and said they were out of all Enchanted Doodler Halloween! I finished off some pieces I had started and decided to also empty the etsy shop. It is a 2 1/2 hour roundtrip to the shop and I can easily restock my etsy from home! Look for new postings in my etsy soon.........have a wonderful weekend!

Soon to be on a newstand near you........

The amazing, awesome Autumn 2011 issue of Art Doll Quarterly will be on newstands Monday! You can for sure find it at Barnes and Noble and Michaels Arts and Crafts. Borders has always carried it also but with their stores closing I am not sure if you will still find them there or not. You can also click onto the ADQ mag. cover in the left margin and it will take you directly to the publisher's website to order online. It is so exciting and such an honor to be published in such a prestigious magazine and this issue is filled with some of  the best of the best when it comes to Halloween artists. The cover artist is Scott Rucus, (Scott Rucus Studios), and his work is beyond amazing! If you love everything Halloween you will love this issue of ADQ!

Boo!

Ghost of Uriah Snood
The ghost of Uriah Snood haunts an old estate located in the misty, spooky moors of England. I posted him in my Etsy shop last night and he has already sold but I plan to make more of these ghosts, (each a little different from the other, of course), and they will be haunting my shops and my shows this fall. Uriah has many brothers and sisters, cousins and friends that will be making their haunting debut!

Pumpkins and Ghosts......

Sebastian and crow friend, Poe

Ghost of Ichabod Crane
Just added some pumpkins and ghosts to my etsy shop. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has always been one of my favorite Halloween stories. I love the Disney cartoon and I love the movie with Johnnie Depp playing the part of Ichabod Crane....he was a perfect Ichabod! I also think that the village of Sleepy Hollow was perfectly depicted in the movie....I mean wasn't it exactly how you pictured the scary little place!

New hauntings in my etsy shop...

Just added some new "haunts" to my etsy shop. Hecuba is a large 20" piece. She is mounted on a wonderful, distressed painted wooden pedestal with iron accents at the top. She is late for the All Hallows Eve Ball and she has her broom on overdrive!

These two witches were added to my etsy shop last night and have already sold. They are on their way to a wonderful new customer in Massachusetts....I wanted to post their pictures because I absolutely love the pure, unadulterated witchiness of these two! There will be more added to my etsy shop in the next few days along with some haunting little spooks and some very onery pumpkin scarcrows...

Pumpkin Witches......

These pumpkin witches lent themselves perfectly to the vintage-inspired halloween fabric. I had so much fun with these as I used a new medium for the first time and loved the results. I used an air-dry paper clay for the pumpkin heads and the light-as-air weight of this clay allows for much larger pieces (these pieces are 16" high), and also a new dimension to the expression of the face. Can't wait to use this paper-clay with more enchantments!

Frog ghosts and fabulous vintage-inspired halloween fabric......

Ghost of Froggy Gone-A-Wooing

16" Trick or Treat Witch, "Sadie Jane"

Look at that wonderful fabric!
I found this fabric and immediately fell in love with it! It takes one back to long-ago happy halloween nights. I love the black kitty, lounging on the tree branch highlighted by the harvest moon, the bushels of apple, the autumn leaves and , of course, all the wondeful jack o lanterns! I will be using this fabric alot in my 2011 Halloween collection. These are a couple of pieces soon to make their way down to Holly Berry House.
